Data centers in Jackson County, Iowa: 1 project mapped

Maquoketa ended early talks about a data center on 46 acres in its South Highway 61 Industrial Park on August 18, 2026. The developer had not filed a formal plan, and city officials said no employee or council member signed a nondisclosure agreement over the discussions.
The industrial land remains available for other projects. City Manager Josh Boldt said Maquoketa will review its heavy industrial zoning language before another data center proposal arrives.
